1) How can Russian students navigate cultural differences when studying abroad after the commencement of the Special Military Operation? - Undoubtely, the start of hostilities during the Russian-Ukrainaine conflict may lead to the possible conflict situations based on the cultural differences. Russian students, who study in different foreign countries are sure that we should do everything to escape unfavourable consequences. The main point consists in non-involvement in political discourse connected with this area because it is difficult to guess the possition of the foreigner and the results of the conversation. Another way is to use English during the first meetings with foreigners not to emphasize the citizenship. The residents of another countries often claim about the lack of Russophobia in their states. So, there is no much cause for concern. 2) Russian students still aspire to study abroad, especially in the Western States which have imposed strict sanctions on Russia, including restrictions in the education field. According to statistics of the Federal Service of Security, the number of those who go to study in Europe and the USA grows. So, why do we see such a tendency? Actually, we can’t argue that the level of higher education in the USA and European countries such as Britain is the highest in the world. Such universities give their students more chances for getting not only wellpaid job, but also get a job in highly-qualificated company withrapid career growth. Moreover the military situation in Russia get many people scared and initiate their wish to leave the country for studing and further living there. In spite of the declining of the availabilities for collaborations there are still many ways of getting educational in the unfriendly countries.
