Сульфатированные полисахариды бурых водорослей: влияние на продукцию цитокинов Effect of sulfated polysaccharides of brown algae on the serum cytokine dynamics in CBA mice I.D. Makarenkova Scientific Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology, Siberian Branch RAMS, Vladivostok The effect of sulfated polysaccharides — fucoidans from brown algae Fucus evanescens, Laminaria cichorioides and Laminaria japonica on the dynamics of cytokine production in serum of CBA mice was studied. It was found that fucoidans induced an increase in the level of pro-inflammatory (TNFα, IL-2, IL-6, IL-17) and immunoregulatory (IL-12, IFNγ) cytokines, but also inhibit the production of anti-inflammatory cytokine (TGFβ), indicating that the influence of polysaccharides on the functional activity of innate immunity effector cells and activation of mechanisms of polarizing the immune response towards Th1 type.
