Dickinson’s verses made by G. Borodulin in Belorussian. The issue about the logic of selecting and placing the works in Borodulin’s poetic cycle and the issue about the sense of the Belorussian and American poets’ spiritual dialogue are considered. The main theme of the cycle as the theme of the works, purpose and the main point of it is elucidated. The fact is also cleared up that in this theme such an aspect as a paradox of the possibility of poetry as a form of cognizing the world is very important for E. Dickinson whereas for G. Borodulin it is the thought about spiritual self-standing defining a poet’s life-creative position that matters here. The tenor of knowing oneself and finding freedom together with the leading idea of philosophical reflection about life, death and eternal natural rotation as an idea of the universal spectrum of cognition are ascertained in the article as well. G. Borodulin’s spiritual dialogue with E. Dickinson determines his method of approach to translating texts: care of the «nuclear» sense of original texts (sources) and «clarifyingenlightening» appropriation.
