Risk taking: for or against Contemporary mass media: TV, the Internet, social networks,Youtube provide us with a huge amount of terrifying information. We know where there is drought, flood, fire, tsunami, tornado or any other technological disaster. But it’s seemed not enough. We see emergency involving insensible and irrational people behavior. They cross roads anywhere, drive fast, jump from skyscrapers, do wingsuit flying or climb without safety equipment. Why do such dreadful things happen? What do these people think about? The most of people take risks reasonably. Though, there are two extreme points. Some people are extremely sensible or vulnerable, weak or coward. They never do dangerous activities. While others are so highly self-confident, rebellious, competitive and ambitious that they can’t live without risk. They are risk takers. The point is that in danger there is an adrenaline rush which evolves rise of strength and feel of happiness. So, risk addicted people like drug addicted are always in the search of sensation, ignoring the potentially fatal consequences. Not only for themselves but, what is worse, for those around ones. These criminal and mad people have to be cured because they don’t understand a threat. There are a lot of videos on Tiktok and Youtube where teenagers take selfie in dangerous positions to impress friends and make other people gobsmacked. Unfortunately, some of them died. However, don’t be in a hurry to blame them on. At first, think. Why does the God create such people? Do we really need them? Remember disasters that were mentioned previously. Who would go into a house on fire or go by boat through a rage flow of water of a burst its banks river or rush into water to safe a stranger? Exactly, a risk taker! We need rescues. Once, my sister saved a kitten which sat in the middle of the road and didn’t realize the upcoming threat in the form of a driving car. Running across the road and taking a little animal took only several seconds. It was risky as the car was almost near. In conclusion, I’d like to say that we have to be open-minded and look at the other side of a medal. To cope with flaws of adrenaline addicted people behavior they must pay attention to the advantages and benefits. There are jobs for risk takers where they can find useful applying for their abilities and skills. Risk takers push boundaries of what people can do, without them we wouldn’t have vaccines, win the World War II, have planes, fly into space.
