Now, there were only two superpowers in the world. These were USA and USSR. USSR was a large country, spread for a sixth part of the land. It was a communist country consisted of 15 republics. This country was governed by a communist party. The USA is a democratic country(state). Having nuclear weapons of mass destruction, the United States of America was a superior country with advanced economy. Now, both countries tried to spread their influence on Europe. As the result Europe was divided into two parts(blocs) by so-called Iron Curtain. These two superpowers began to compete in such fields, like science, industry, space-race, sports, and weapons. USSR developed industries and armament. In 1949 USSR tested the first soviet nuclear bomb. In the same year USA founded NATO. After this, USSR got China as an ally. But due to various disagreements China left USSR in attempts to become a new superpower. Various attempts were made to stop people leaving East Berlin, and then the wall was built. During this period of time lots of countries left both blocs. They became neutral and started a Non-Alignment Movement. Numerous attempts were made by the U.S. government to prevent the spread of communist ideas in South America. But the U.S government failed to prevent Cuban revolution. Это государство с коммунистическим строем состоящая из 15 республик и управляемое одной партией. США это демократическая республика. Она имеет превосходство, являясь единственной страной в мире с ядерным оружием, а также обладает сильнейшей в мире экономикой и производством. Обе державы пытаются распространить своё влияние на Европу. Из-за этого Европа оказывается разделена на два блока, так называемым «железным занавесом». Две державы соревнуются в сферах науки, промышленности, космоса, спорта и вооружения. СССР АКТИВНО РАЗВИВАЕТ ПРОМЫШЛЕННОСТЬ И ВООРУЖЕНИЕ. И в 1949 году испытывают свою первую атомную бомбу. В этом же году США создают НАТО ( военный союз стран западного альянса). Китай становится союзником СССР. Но в результате разногласий Китай разрывает свои отношения с СССР пытаясь стать новой мировой державой. СССР пытается остановить иммиграцию из восточного Берлина в западный путём возведения стены. В это время многие страны выходят из обоих блоков, и становятся нейтральными , создав движение не присоединения. В Южной Америке США пытается не допустить распространения коммунизма, но не может предотвратить переворот на Кубе. СССР устанавливает ракеты на Кубе. Обстановка накаляется до такой степени, что морские силы обеих стран готовятся к отражению атак друг друга. Но в результате США убирает ракеты из Европы, а СССР из Кубы. В 1991 году происходит распад СССР.
