To discover the rate of trophic derangements of different localization patients admitted to the general surgery clinic with chronic venous disease of the legs during one-year period were examined. 547 limbs with varicose disease and 157 limbs with postthrombotic syndrome (PTS) were inspected. During physical examination the localization of existing trophic derangements of different degree was 1 , 2009, 8, 3 considered. Trophic changes on anterolateral surface of the shin were observed in 42,5% cases of all derangements in patients with PTS, trophic ulcers of the same localization were seen in 24,1% cases of the ulcers. In case of varicose disease trophic derangements on anterolateral surface were seen in 39,1% of all changes, whereas ulcers in this region accounted for 27,3% of all cases. In 6,25% of cases in PTS and 15,6% in varicose disease isolated trophic derangements were observed on the anterolateral surface, which may be indicative of possible specific hemodynamic disturbances.
