SPATIAL COORDINATES OF PETROUS PYRAMID APEX OF AN ADULT I.N. Trufanov, T.V. Gorskaya, A.G. Tsybulkin Moscow State Medico-Stomatological University, Human Anatomy Department Using stereocraniobasiometr of an own design, the authors have made measurements of spatial coordinates of a top of a pyramid of a temporal bone of a skull of the adult man on 124 specimens. The statistical analysis has shown that the individual features of a spatial arrangement of a top of a pyramid correlate as with the absolute sizes of a skull, and relative characteristics such as type of the skull and form of its basis. Is established, that on large, brachibasilar and flexibasilar skulls the top of a pyramid has mainly a high, back and lateral situation, and on small, dolichobasilar and platibasilar skulls – a forward, medial and low situation. 4, 2009
